Positives and Negatives

1. 이다 / (이/가) 아니다.

한국사람이다. (I am Korean.)  한국사람이 아니다. (I am not a Korean.)

2. 있다 / 없다

한국 친구가 있다. (I have a Korean friend.)

한국 친구가 없다. (I don’t have a Korean friend.)

3. To make any other verbs negative, place `안‘ in front of the predicate.

김치를 먹는다. (I eat Gimchi.)

김치를 안 먹는다. (I don’t eat Gimchi.)

하나    one
둘        two
셋        three
넷        four
다섯    five
여섯    six
일곱    seven
여덟 eight
아홉    nine
열        ten

한 시간          one hour
두 시간          two hours
세 시간          three hours
네 시간          four hours
다섯 시간      five hours

Telling Time:

5:20 = 다섯시 이시분

7:43 =  일곱시 사십삼분

2:15 =  두시 십오분

1:39 =  한시 삼십구분
