I guess you mistook it for 줍다. 주우니, 주워서, 주우면, 주워요... Is this clear? 어렵다, 가깝다, 춥다, 덥다, they are all adjectives just like 좁다.

I guess you mistook it for 줍다.
주우니, 주워서, 주우면, 주워요…
